Bueno

     Professor Titular, graduou-se Bacharel em Química no Instituto de Quimica da Universidade Estadual Paulista (IQ-Araraquara) e em 1986 obteve o título de Doutor em Ciências em Engenharia Química no PPG-EQ da Universidade  de São Paulo. Em 1995 realizou Pós-doutorado no laboratório do Prof. Harold Kung no Center for Catalysis and Surface Science (USA).
     Em 1979 vinculou-se ao Departamento de Engenharia Química  da Universidade Federal de São Carlos e, com a criação do Laboratório de Catálise, começou atividades de pesquisa na área, no qual orienta alunos em nível de Iniciação Científica, Mestrado e Doutorado.
          Iniciou atividades em catálise com o estudo sobre a preparação e caracterização de aluminas catalíticas.

Preparação e Modificação de Catalisadores:

óxidos simples e mistos:

l  alumina, óxido de zinco e de cobre

metais suportados:

l  metais (Rh, Ru) suportados em zeólitas (FAU ),

l  metais (Ni, Cu, Co, Sn) suportados em óxidos (SiO2 , Al2O3 , ZnO).

Reações Catalíticas:
   alcoolquímica:

l  desidratação de álcoois (etanol)

l  desidrogenação de álcoois  (etanol, butanol)

l  desidratação-desidrogenação de álcoois (etanol)

l  esterificação de álcoois em uma etapa (etanol)

   química do C1:

l  oxidação parcial do CH4

l  reforma do CH4 com CO2

l  reforma do CH4 a vapor

   hidrogenação seletiva:

l  crotonaldeído a álcool crotílico

oxidação em fase gasosa:

l  epoxidação de alcenos (propeno),

l  butano a anidrido maleico,
